Call the phone number associated to the police agency handling that specific case or your local police department. Originating agencies are responsible for investigating the missing person cases falling within their jurisdiction
How does this website differ from www.kare.ca (Project KARE and the High Risk Missing Persons Project (HRMPP))?
Project KARE and the HRMPP was formed with a mandate of investigating “High Risk” missing people as defined under their mandate. The Alberta Missing Persons and Unidentified Human Remains Project deals with ALL missing persons and found human remains, not just those relating to individuals involved in a high risk lifestyle.
What if someone I know is reported missing and I can not find them on this website?
Use the web form on the Contact Us option seen at the top this website to provide us with the information relating to the missing person. Please be sure to provide us with all your contact information, so someone may contact you.
Is every missing persons in Alberta included on this website?
Not necessarily. As this website is being updated on a regular basis, missing person profile sheets are updated as we receive them from their originating agencies. All persons reported missing in Alberta are eligible to be placed on this website.
What is the criterion to be placed on this website?
Missing persons found on this site must be reported to a police agency. It is the discretion of the originating agency whether or not the file is listed on this website.
Is there a specialized team that investigates the cases found on this website?
Not necessarily. At this time, the originating police agencies are responsible for investigating the missing person files falling within their jurisdiction.
